HELP RECOGNIZE BUSINESSES THAT SUPPORT INCLUSION
2022 Disability Employment Advocacy Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Council of Tarrant County is accepting nominations of businesses, employees or their supervisors for the Annual Dan Gadbury IDD Supported Employment Advocacy Award. Deadline for submitting nominations is 5 p.m. 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022.

 

 

Purpose:

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This award is designed to honor the role people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) have in assisting us to achieve a dynamic, productive workforce and to recognize the leadership of the business community actively engaged in providing or supporting meaningful employment for people with IDD.

 

Nomination Process:

  • A nomination may be submitted by a Tarrant County resident, professional, co-worker, supervisor, friend or family member.

  • Submission of Nomination Form (PDF format) 

  • Submission of a personalized Nomination Letter (optional but beneficial. The more details and examples provided, the better you aid the selection committee during the review process.)

Attend the Celebrating YOU Employer Recognition Luncheon

Each year, the IDD Council celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month by recognizing businesses, employees or their supervisors  in Tarrant County for their continuous support and inclusion of persons with IDD.  

 

The Annual Celebrating YOU Employer Recognition Luncheon, will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., at Feragne Villa Event Venue, 755 Mid Cities Blvd., Hurst, TX 76054
