About the event
STAR+PLUS is a Texas Medicaid managed care program for people 21 and older who have disabilities or are age 65 or older. People in STAR+PLUS get Medicaid healthcare and long-term services and support through a medical plan that they choose. It is the job of the outreach staff to help recipients and community agencies learn about Texas Health Steps and help the Medicaid clients join in the STAR, STAR Kids, STAR+PLUS or Dental program.
About our presenter:
Stephanie Stone, is the Long Term Supports & Services Specialist for Tarrant Service Area, covering 8 Counties, has been an Outreach Counselor with Maximus, the State of Texas' Enrollment Broker, for over five years. In addition, she is serving in the community as a Community Health Worker. She also has over 20 years’ experience working in social services.
